Jessica Marinaro, MD, is a urologist with sub-specialty expertise in male infertility and microsurgery. Dr. Marinaro graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, and earned her medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. She completed her urologic surgery residency training at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.,and then pursued additional fellowship training in male infertility and microsurgery at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City.  

Dr. Marinaro’s research interests include microsurgical management of male infertility, sperm DNA fragmentation, and optimizing outcomes for men with severe infertility, among others. She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American Urological Association (AUA), the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology (SMRU), and the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction (SSMR).

Mae Healy, D.O., is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (REI). Dr. Healy completed her residency in OB/GYN at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She completed her fellowship in REI at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

Prior to joining SGF, Dr. Healy retired from the U.S. Navy as a Commander with her most recent position being the Division Director of REI at Naval Medical Center San Diego. Dr. Healy has also served as the Director, Assisted Reproductive Technology at Walter Reed. She values training the next generation of physicians, evidenced by her time as the Associate Fellowship Director at the National Institutes of Health for REI. Dr. Healy has been recognized for her excellence in teaching and patient care. As an avid researcher, Dr. Healy has contributed to numerous publications and presentations exploring topics such as access to fertility care for military families, intrauterine inseminations (IUI), and optimizing embryo transfer techniques, among many others.

Rebecca J. Chason, M.D., FACOG, is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist at Shady Grove Fertility in Annapolis, MD. She was admitted early to Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine as part of the Honors Program in Medical Education. She was also selected into the Health Science Scholarship Program for the US Navy and went on to serve at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda while completing her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. During residency, she was the recipient of multiple awards for performance, teaching, research, and military service. She then went on to complete her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD. Upon completion, she returned to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as a staff physician. While serving in the US Navy at Walter Reed, Dr. Chason was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal for designation as Master Clinician. She was also dedicated to resident education and served as Associate Program Director for the OB/GYN residency, receiving the National Faculty award for excellence in resident education by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As the Director of IVF at Walter Reed, she was instrumental in maintaining assisted reproduction services for members of the US military and their families. Dr. Chason lives in Anne Arundel County with her family, where they are active in their church community. She enjoys spending time with her three children, especially in outdoor activities including biking, sailing, and back-yard barbecues. Matthew Connell, D.O., FACOG, earned his doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He went on to complete his residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Missouri and completed his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Connell has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts, book chapters, and review articles in many leading scientific journals, and has been invited to present and consult nationally in the fields of endocrinology, infertility, and reproductive immunology.

Dr. Connell is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and board eligible for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. He is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as a member of numerous medical organizations. His clinical interests include all aspects of male and female infertility with specific focus on recurrent pregnancy loss, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), premature ovarian insufficiency, diminished ovarian reserve, endometriosis, and fertility preservation.

Jeffrey L. McKeeby, M.D., was the program director of assisted reproduction at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C., from 2001 to 2003. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology.

Originally from New York, Dr. McKeeby received an undergraduate degree from Hope College in Holland, MI, and his medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He served in the U.S. Navy on active duty for 14 years and achieved the rank of Commander.

Gilbert L. Mottla, M.D. is a board certified reproductive endocrinologist at Shady Grove Fertility in Annapolis, MD. Dr. Mottla received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Magee-Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. He then went on to complete a two-year fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility at The George Washington School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the George Washington University Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy. Cigdem (“Cori”) Tanrikut, MD, FACS, is a board certified Urologist at Shady Grove Fertility. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania and earned her medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed her urologic surgery residency training at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH)/Harvard Medical School, and then continued on to Weill Cornell Medical College in New York to pursue a fellowship in male infertility and microsurgery.

Upon completing her fellowship training, she became the Director of Male Reproductive Medicine at the MGH Fertility Center. While at Harvard, she was an Associate Professor in Surgery at Harvard Medical School. In 2015, she was named the Quality Chair for the MGH Department of Urology, and in 2017, she became the President of the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology. Dr. Tanrikut’s research endeavors include assessing how lifestyle and medications may impact male reproductive health, sperm banking trends, and sperm-related factors to optimize fertility treatment outcomes. Dr. Tanrikut is available for new patient appointments at several Shady Grove Fertility offices throughout the Baltimore area.
