Tonya Wood’s goal is to provide understanding, comfort and hope to those in various stages of the family planning process. Infertility doesn’t have to define who you are or stop you from enjoying your life. She works collaboratively with clients to help them be present in the moment with their emotions and develop effective coping strategies to deal with the stress of infertility. In her clinical practice, she applies principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) an empirically supported treatment designed to help individuals develop alternative ways of relating with unpleasant experiences so they can get “unstuck” and move toward the life they have imagined.
