Danielle Melfi brings a deep personal commitment and a proven track record of results-driven leadership to her role as CEO of RESOLVE.

A seasoned advocate, she has successfully advanced policy changes at both the state and federal levels, leading historic bipartisan increases in family-focused budgets in Wisconsin and a national reduction of health care and prescription drug costs. As a skilled fundraiser and leader, Danielle raised tens of millions of dollars as Executive Director of the nonprofit Building Back Together and oversaw large-scale teams in her roles as Chief People Officer at the White House and Chief Program Officer at AmeriCorps. Most recently, Danielle served as a consultant for companies at the forefront of media and health care innovation, including women’s health start-up, Allara Health. Danielle began her career as an organizer with deep experience centering lived experience and personal storytelling in her work, and she is committed to continuing RESOLVE’s community-focused legacy.

For Danielle, RESOLVE’s mission is personal. Last year’s Alabama Supreme Court decision to restrict IVF access motivated Danielle to begin her own family building journey by freezing her eggs. Through this months-long process, she experienced firsthand the immense financial, emotional, and physical challenges facing those navigating fertility care, and the barriers preventing many from accessing care at all. Danielle joins RESOLVE committed to expanding access and affordability to everyone hoping to build a family - whether couples struggling with infertility, LGBTQ+ families, or single people who rely on medical intervention to conceive.

Danielle graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University with a BA in Political Science. She is actively engaged in her community as a volunteer for Sasha Bruce, a DC-based nonprofit supporting youth experiencing or at risk of homelessness and as a leader of her church's women's group. Danielle resides in Washington, DC with her rescue dog, Jersey.

Kristy Aiken: Coordinator, Volunteer

Kristy joined RESOLVE in 2022 and brings more than 15 years of volunteer coordinating experience. She has worked in the hospice field, coordinating volunteers for eight years. In addition, Kristy serves as the Women’s and Social Media Director for Oasis Church in Radford, VA, and the Volunteer Executive Director of Engagement and Social Media, her favorite non-profit ministry, for over ten years. Kristy’s background is in hospitality management, and she completed her studies at East Carolina University.

As RESOLVE’s Volunteer Coordinator, Kristy is responsible for supporting, recruiting, onboarding, and matching prospective volunteers to RESOLVE’s various volunteer opportunities. Kristy serves as the point of contact for requests related to support groups and helpline inquiries.

Kristy resides in the beautiful mountains of southwest Virginia in Radford. She lives with her husband, Michael, of 20 years; Kalee, her 13-year-old daughter; Emilee, her 11-year-old daughter; Autumn, her 8-year-old foster daughter; and her Saint Berdoodle, Oaklee. Ayesha Audu was most recently the Anti-Human Trafficking Outreach and Education Coordinator at the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, where she led presentations on human trafficking and healthy interpersonal relationships throughout the Cuyahoga County region. Her prior advocacy experience also includes serving as a Legal Fellow with the Women’s Law Project in Pittsburgh, PA. Ayesha has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Case Western Reserve University and a law degree from Columbia Law School. As RESOLVE’S Grassroots Advocacy Manager, she is responsible for managing key elements of RESOLVE’S government affairs program and engagement with grassroots and grass-tops advocates to advance positive family building policy and stop anti-family legislation in Congress and state legislatures.

Marnee Beck: Senior Manager, Digital Assets

Marnee Beck joined the staff of RESOLVE in 2010 and is currently the Senior Manager, Digital Assets. Marnee has worked in nonprofit associations for more than 27 years including the Council on Foundations and most recently the Association for Talent Development in Alexandria, VA. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College and earned a Masters degree from the George Washington University. She is passionate about breaking the silence of infertility through the use of social media and the internet. She and her husband Eric live in Herndon.

Michelle Chavez joined RESOLVE in 2022. She is a graduate from George Mason University, where she majored in government and international politics with a concentration in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Her prior work experience includes an internship at the United States Congress with Representative Espaillat, where she answered constituent inquiries, took notes during Congressional briefings, helped organize Hill events, and drafted social media posts. As RESOLVE’S Advocacy Coordinator, she tracks state legislation that effects family building and supports the RESOLVE’s Access to Care team. Sylvia Dao, Manager, Access to Care

Sylvia Dao joined RESOLVE in the Summer of 2023. Her career journey began in the dynamic world of the technology industry, where she honed her skillsets in community management, training , and fundraising over 10 years. Sylvia is a Texas native with an educational background in Communication Studies from the University of Houston. With a heartfelt commitment to supporting those navigating family building challenges, she is enthusiastic about the opportunity to merge her professional experiences to drive positive change as RESOLVE’s Access to Care Manager. Rebecca Flick: Chief External Affairs Officer

Rebecca Flick joined RESOLVE in 2005. Rebecca’s experience as a non-profit professional began in 1998 with the American Occupational Therapy Association and since then she has continued as a strategic communications professional for other non-profits including, the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and National School Boards Association. She received a BA in Communications from the University of Maryland, College Park and a certificate in Direct Marketing from Virginia Commonwealth University.

As Chief External Affairs Officer for RESOLVE, Rebecca’s main responsibilities include creating and implementing RESOLVE’s communication plans, signature events (National Infertility Awareness Week and Night of Hope), and online strategies, as well as increasing the infertility community’s engagement in RESOLVE’s volunteer, advocacy and fundraising activities. Rebecca was diagnosed with infertility in 2006. She lives in Leesburg, VA with her husband, son, and daughter.

Cindy Hollister: Director, Development

Cindy Hollister joined RESOLVE in 2014. She started her career in the software industry, then moved to non-profit arts management, a better fit for her personality and family. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and a master’s in education, both from the University of Buffalo. At RESOLVE, she enjoys interacting with Professional Members, volunteers, and donors, as well as working behind the scenes to support and problem solve with colleagues.

Ali Moore, Coordinator, Communications

Ali Moore joined the staff of RESOLVE in 2023 and is currently the Communications Coordinator. She graduated with her bachelors from Longwood University, majoring in Communications with a concentration in Digital Media. Her experience prior to RESOLVE consists of freelance work as well as two marketing internships during her studies. As Communications Coordinator, Ali is responsible for supporting the communications team with day-to-day work and project management. She assists with content for RESOLVE’s website, email, social media and more. She is passionate about bringing awareness and advocating for the infertility community and looks forward to making an impact with her time here at RESOLVE. Alise Powell - Director of Government Affairs

Alise Powell joined RESOLVE at the end of 2024 as the Director of Government Affairs, leading efforts to expand access to fertility care and family-building options. With nearly a decade of experience as an advocate and tireless champion for change, she is passionate about advancing equity in the American health care system. Prior to joining RESOLVE, Alise advanced maternal health policy at the National Birth Equity Collaborative and held policy positions at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the National Women’s Law Center.
